our curriculum consists of four units designed to teach young people everything they'll need to know for success in organizing. the units are:
our lessons are delivered twice a week: live on mondays at 7pm eastern and asynchronously on wednesdays via recording. all lessons can be completed asynchronously if that's optimal for participants' schedules, and many offer collaborative/hands-on activities!
through participation in ssu, participants will have the opportunity to connect with a diverse group of likeminded youth around the world to engage and work together in our organization-wide slack workspace. they will also be able to speak with experienced activists, including those on ssu's team, and begin working with other organizations that fit their unique set of skills, passions, and interests.
during our fourth and final unit, participants have the opportunity to complete a short survey regarding their interests and connects them with our partner organizations that suit their passions. we have 20+ partners across several issues and also offer additional educational and training resources upon completion of our program.
to be eligible for matching, participants much complete each of our lessons. this can be done live or asynchronously.
each week we will have one lesson live via zoom on mondays and one lesson recorded and sent out asynchronously on wednesdays. lesson completion is mandatory, but participants have the option of completing any and all lessons asynchronously if that works best for their schedule.
